FAQs

What is the history of the Yellow House?

Originally built in the 1890s, Fellows Cafe is operating in a Victorian-era home once occupied by family and friends. We wanted to keep that tradition alive and did so through the preservation of the home’s antique detailing giving it a restored old-world feel and look. Though necessary renovations were made, the character of our now coined term ‘hiptorian’ cafe, is still alive and well within its newly painted walls. Roswell’s historic vibe and soul is being amplified through the restoration of this home, and Fellows is now bringing life again to the quaint and cozy Green Street spot.

What makes your bread so special?

Is Fellows bread gluten free? Unfortunately, our main two breads, rustic sourdough (flour, water, salt) and sandwich bread (flour, milk, sugar, butter, salt) are not gluten free. However, each is naturally leavened and contains no commercial yeast. This ancient way of rising dough allows for long fermentation to take place causing our bread to be far more easily digestible for everyone, even those that are non-celiac but gluten intolerant. In addition to being gut-friendly, our bread is taste-bud-friendly compared to mass-produced bread.

Reservations?

We now offer reservations every day of the week for parties up to 12 guests through resy.com or through the Resy App. Limited tables and bar seats are held to accommodate walk-ins and our waitlist. Reservations are available on the front porch, inside of the cafe and in the garden. If you book an outdoor reservation and experience inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate; however, there are no guarantees due to the limited seating inside.

Take Away and Online Ordering?

Take-away can be ordered via Fellows online store or in person. Fellows does not accept phone orders. Once the order is placed, text/email confirmation will be sent. When your order is ready for pick up, it will be placed on the marble table facing the barista counter. Parking for take away orders is available at The Well, to the right of Fellows.
