FELLOWS CAFE: Assistant General Manager
We are looking for a full-time Assistant General Manager to support the daily leadership and operations of the cafe. This role works closely with the General Manager and ownership to ensure that the restaurant runs smoothly, the team feels supported, and guests experience the level of hospitality Fellows has become known for.
Our ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and exceptionally strong in execution. This person thrives on structure, clear communication, and follow-through, helping ensure that the many moving parts of a busy cafe operate consistently and at a high level.
While this is a front-of-house leadership role, the position also includes important operational and administrative responsibilities that support the broader management team.
The Assistant General Manager should be comfortable leading shifts, supporting the team in real time, and maintaining calm and clarity during busy services, while also ensuring that systems, communication, and operational details are handled with care.
Key Responsibilities
Leading front-of-house shifts and supporting daily service
Providing hands-on hospitality and guest engagement during service
Supporting the General Manager with operational and administrative responsibilities
Maintaining strong communication across the team and leadership
Ensuring systems, checklists, and procedures are consistently followed
Supporting staff training and team development
Helping maintain organization across schedules, service preparation, and daily operations
Assisting with inventory, ordering, and operational oversight as needed
Upholding a culture of professionalism, accountability, and teamwork

Salary range: $40,000 – $48,000 annually, depending on experience
