Response to Coronavirus
First, we want to sincerely thank each of you for supporting Fellows during the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19). This is especially impactful during uncertain times.
We are acutely aware of the health concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic. Our highest priority is to protect the health of our staff and guests. The Fellows team is monitoring the situation carefully and taking increased precautionary measures dictated by the Georgia Department of Public Health, Center of Disease Control and World Health Organization.
YOUR HEALTH IS OUR PRIORITY
If you are not feeling well, please stay home. If you have a respiratory symptom, you are likely to be contagious. Be mindful. Get tested. Protect yourselves and the community. Though symptoms might not be visible, you can still carry the virus. Preventative social distancing is essential. The Fellows team loves sharing our food and space with you but only want to continue under safe conditions. Kindly please take care of yourself, so you can care for others.
OUR HEALTH IS ALSO OUR PRIORITY
Before mention of the Coronavirus, the foodservice industry is required to follow strict local public health guidelines. To continue to meet these guidelines, we have safety protocols and best practices in place, including guidance from ServSafe.
So, what are we doing to keep our little yellow house safe? Effective immediately, Fellows has made changes to our cafe operations:
Implementing mandatory hand-washing breaks every hour.
Heightened cleaning and disinfecting procedures.
Mandating sick employees to stay home.
Polishing and rolling silverware with gloves.
Limiting number of guests in waiting areas.
Providing laminated menus that will be sanitized between use.
Banning the use of reusable mugs.
Praying, loving our neighbors, and caring for those who need help around us.
Your support via visits, delivery and takeout allows us to serve you safely, our beloved community, while still providing jobs and income to our staff. If you are up to it, we would love for you to join us at Fellows; otherwise, you can use Ubereats and/or Doordash.
Lastly, to say we know how to deal with a novel pandemic, would be misleading. As small business owners, we don't know exactly how we're going to make this work, but we are certain it will be ok. We believe that this epidemic will stop at the community level. We must join together and get creative! If you have any ideas of how we better manage the effects of COVID-19, please email us.
